Responsibilities: – Receive and process payments from patients and insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures. – Verify payment details, including patient demographics, insurance information, payment amounts, and payment method. – Post payments accurately and promptly to patient accounts in billing systems or electronic health records (EHR) platforms. – Reconcile payment batches and identify any discrepancies or errors for resolution. – Investigate and resolve posting discrepancies, including rejected payments and overpayments. – Prepare and reconcile bank deposits, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with financial controls. – Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of payment transactions and posting activities. – Monitor and report on payment posting metrics, including productivity and accuracy rates. – Collaborate with internal teams to address payment posting issues and improve processes. – Stay updated on payment processing regulations, industry best practices, and billing system updates.
